Two Progress Residential Leaders Named 2025 Women of Influence by GlobeSt.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Progress Residential, a leading provider of professional property management services for rental homes in the U.S., is proud to announce that two of its leaders, Cherry Malichi and Nikki Sloup, have been named 2025 Women of Influence by GlobeSt. 

 

The long-running awards program has recognized women making significant contributions to commercial real estate since 1983, honoring those who lead with purpose and elevate the industry through their work and impact.

 

Cherry Malichi, associate general counsel, was honored in the Diversity Champion category for her leadership in creating inclusive spaces and driving meaningful change at Progress and across the real estate industry. With more than 20 years of legal experience, Malichi has been instrumental in Progress’s growth and transformation. As co-chair of the inclusion and belonging committee  , she has led initiatives that align business goals with the unique needs of the people and communities the company serves.

 

Her leadership has fostered a more inclusive workplace through training programs, mentorship and cross-functional collaboration. She has played a key role in resident relations and supported programs such as the Positive Rent Reporting Initiative, which has helped more than 11,000 residents establish a credit score  , and the expansion of housing choice voucher partnerships. Malichi’s authenticity, empathy and commitment to equity continue to inspire lasting impact across the organization and beyond.

 

Nikki Sloup, senior vice president of brand, communications and public relations, was recognized in the Marketing/Communications Professional category for leading her team’s work to shape the Progress brand and leverage storytelling to amplify Progress’s mission. Since joining in 2021, Sloup has built a full-scale communications operation overseeing PR, social media, content, and internal and resident communications. Her data-driven strategies have increased positive brand sentiment and improved online reputation across key markets.  

 

Sloup leads with a people-first mindset, mentoring rising talent and shaping empathetic, effective communications. She has placed residents at the center of Progress’s messaging, overhauling key touchpoints and launching platforms such as “The Neighborhood” blog to foster deeper connection. Her vision and collaborative leadership have elevated both the brand and the resident experience.
