Ten miles up the road from Marshbrooke are The Spectrum, home of the Charlotte Bobcats, and Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers. Both of these teams compete in the major league in their respective sports and offer exciting competition with state-of-the-art facilities. BB&T Ballpark, home to the minor league Charlotte Knights, is also nearby.

McAlpine Creek Park is truly a wonderful place to visit. With 114 acres of land, five soccer fields, a lake with a fishing pier, a 2-mile bike trail, 1.5-mile nature trail, a dog park, and so much more, this park offers endless opportunities for recreation and exploration. The Greenway Trail serves as a 5k championship cross country course and connects to James Boyce Park.
