Progress Residential has been honored with the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) Workforce Development Award,a national recognition celebrating organizations that advance skilled trades training and expand career pathways in construction.
The award highlights the efforts of Progress Residential’s Talent Development team and Workforce Development programs including the Apprenticeship and Technical Skills Academy initiatives, which provide hands-on training, education and growth opportunities for employees pursuing careers in the skilled trades.
“Our goal is to open real career pathways in the skilled trades and programs like the Apprenticeship and Technical Skills Academy help team members build confidence, master new skills, and step into roles they may not have seen for themselves before,” said Trevor Gelder, Vice President of Talent at Progress Residential. “This award reflects that impact and the growth we see in our people every day.”
Workforce Development Manager Tim Hockett accepted the award on behalf of Progress at the CURT Awards ceremony in Naples, Florida. “Technical Skills Academy started as an idea to better prepare and equip our workforce,” Hockett said. “So far, we’ve trained more than 300 technicians and earned national recognition. I was proud to accept the award on behalf of our entire team.”
Progress Residential continues to invest in training, education and advancement opportunities that help team members build meaningful careers and deliver high-quality service for our residents.
