Renters Insurance

Renters insurance protects you, your loved ones and the life you’ve built, which is why we require all residents to maintain active coverage. If you choose not to enroll in coverage, a monthly non-compliance fee will apply.

Why Renters Insurance Matters

  • Progress carries homeowner insurance on the property, but – as is standard – this coverage does not protect your personal belongings.
  • Most policies protect your items from theft, fire and other covered events.
  • Policies may also include liability coverage (if someone is injured in your home) or cover temporary living costs if the home becomes uninhabitable.

Coverage varies by policy. We recommend consulting an insurance broker and reviewing your policy to understand what is and isn’t covered.

Renters Insurance Requirements

Progress requires all residents to maintain active renters insurance.

Your policy must include:

  • At least $100,000 liability coverage.
  • All residents listed on the lease.
  • "Progress Residential" listed as an additional interest at: Progress Residential, PO Box 660121, Dallas TX 75266.

If you choose not to enroll in coverage, a monthly non-compliance fee will apply.

Please note: This fee does not include or provide insurance coverage. For details on fees, refer to our Leasing Fees resource.
