How it Works

  1. Share with friends and family why Progress homes are perfect for Housing Choice Voucher holders.
  2. Your referral can browse* eligible homes (only eligible in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas and Phoenix)**
  3. They’ll list your name and address in the referral section when applying for their home. 
  4. Once they’re approved and move in, you’ll receive a $250 Tango gift card!

Current Progress residents who rent with a Housing Choice Voucher can refer non-residents who also have an HCV.* 

Simply spread the word! Tell your friends and loved ones why you love living in a Progress home. When they apply, they’ll be asked to list their referrer – that’s how we’ll know who to thank! 

No. Referral information must be included in a new application. Referrals cannot be applied retroactively to past applicants or current residents.*

No. All applications are reviewed based on the qualification requirements. A referral does not influence application decisions.* 

As long as an application decision hasn’t been made yet, we can help you update the application with your referral information. Contact our Care Center right away.  

Absolutely! We love when our residents share their Progress experience. As long as both participants are eligible**, you can refer up to 2 residents. Keep in mind, this number only includes successful referrals – those who have moved in. Until then, you're welcome to refer as many people as you’d like!

No. You can only refer someone who would rent in the same state as you (Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Phoenix)**

No. You can only refer HCV holders.*

No. Both the referring resident and the referred applicant must be HCV holders to be eligible.*

*Homes that are pre-screened for rental assistance and are available through the link above. Referral offer valid only for approved applicants using a Housing Choice Voucher who sign a lease and move in. Offer excludes current residents, internal transfers, and Coming Soon homes.
