Churchill Rental homes and Neighborhood Information

Churchill is a small neighborhood that lies within Knightdale, a town that combines southern hospitality and charm with its historical past. The town's namesake, Henry Haywood Knight, donated his land holdings to the railroad to attract them to the area. When the railroad came to Knightdale in 1904 and built a depot, a town was born.

Churchill residents are across the interstate from the picturesque Mingo Creek Park. The park is a little more than 8 acres and has two half-court basketball facilities, but the real draw is the park's 3.5 miles of paved trails with some boardwalk areas. Mingo Creek Trail connects via wooden bridge with Raleigh's Neuse River Greenway Trail, which has more than 30 miles of greenway for fitness buffs to explore.

Area Highlights

Churchill residents can head to Knightdale Station Park each Saturday morning from May to November to visit the Knightdale Farmers' Market. In addition to local produce, the market has local arts and crafts, food trucks, rodeos, live entertainment, and other activities. A large playground is also nearby; its farm and railroad theme celebrates the area's rich history.

Located 15 miles from Raleigh, Churchill lies in close proximity to North Carolina's Research Triangle Park. As it is home to several businesses and research facilities, Research Triangle Park is one of the world's largest research areas. Its name comes from the three cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, which are anchored by three large research universities: NC State, Duke, and UNC-Chapel Hill.
